Capable of Success

Success maybe more about being capable of the vision than simply achieving it.

Sometimes, we focus on the end goal, and bypass the knowledge and skill set that make you able to achieve the success that you have envisioned.

Success is the byproduct of commitment and hard work. It is defined at the personal level; it is acquired after sacrifice and persistence against all odds.

Work smart and learn something new each day. Practice and solve your problems scientifically. Measure your results and use data to help you discover the keys to success. Work on being capable of the vision.

Comfort and Safety

If it feels comfortable and safe go further. Move to the edge of your efforts. Pour everything into your growth, your vision, your journey to great things. Everything else is just the warm-up. Get going and do not look back.

Changes

Change your grip on your world. Change the points where you’re holding onto negative experiences as your identity.

Change your grasp of new knowledge and tech that can make your job easier. Change your routine if it’s not serving your purpose and liberating your spirit.

The caveat is, your goal shouldn’t be change for change’s sake. Improve your capability to handle the journey as your step into success.

Strategies

Wasting away in your own imagination is trending down. Dig into your awesomeness and strategize for greatness.

Freedom

Sometimes we cling to our job titles and descriptions at our own peril.

Don’t get me wrong, roles can help define boundaries and clear-up expectations, but living a role to the point you close your outlook to the potential and possibilities of new experiences and new opportunities is a one-way ticket to the mundane and mediocre.

Open your mind to new languages new expertise, new skills, and new experiences.

Welcome and embrace new opportunities for LEARNING, and your heart, outlook, and sense of peace will unlock new pathways to greatness.

Have an awesome day! And remember success is self-made. Get out there and get to it.

Commitment

Life’s better when you bet on yourself. Your soul, your work, and your art needs your confidence and unwavering commitment to excellence.

I used to have a lot of trouble spelling the word commitment. I couldn’t figure out the exact number of M’s and T’s. One day, when I had enough, I took out a sheet of paper and wrote the word one hundred times.  It took 5 minutes. I never had trouble spelling commitment again.

Sometimes, the choices we make about our problems: never identifying the issue, never focusing long enough to correct the issue, and never taking specific, measurable action to end the cycle returns us to same place over and over again.

In my case, spelling was a simple fix. Other obstacles in life are much more challenging as many factors can affect your situation.

Stress can be a major deterrent to your best efforts, food choices can affect your energy levels, social and familial relationships can be a drag on personal growth.

The issues continue, learning gaps create roadblocks to personal growth, exercise and leisure time also factor into the mixed bag of obstacles that may prevent you from creating your best life.

No matter the problems or obstacles, our power is choice.

Choose to see the bigger vision.  Know you have the ultimate power to solve your problems.

Everything changes when you clear the clutter, welcome the obstacles, and learn to surmount each challenge issue by issue.

Rinse and repeat your process each day for the best results. The day is yours!

The Reward

Waiting for the perfect day to start your journey is waiting for a day that may never arrive. Your best option is to start the 5K while no one is watching. Start the book when it’s noisy and there is no opportunity for peace. Get going when the weather is cloudy and a there is a 100% chance for rain.

Starting without fanfare and ceremony makes the beautiful days easier and the tough times more valuable when you conquer the challenge.

As we hit the third week of the New Year, it’s important to know, your new habits and your new focus usually reach the crossroads of choice. The place where you choose to continue to greatness or return to the same mediocre habits.

Take the pathway that leads to your best results. The journey and the battle for success are the greatest rewards.

Problem Solving

Successful people dig-in and solve their own problems. Whether it’s increasing your revenue stream or completing your literary masterpiece the time, effort, and energy you put in to complete your work is your most precious resource.

Don’t waste your life (time x effort x energy) on fads or in a race to become an average and mundane brand that brands average distractions to keep people average.  Offer more value, more connections, more creativity than anyone else. Be the artist who creates their dreams and solves the problems that change the world.

Believe that you can do it and stay focused until the task is done. The alternative, pecking and scrolling the hours away into your cell phone isn’t as awesome getting out there and completing the challenge.

Wednesday

If you are you waiting around for an epic turn of events to motivate you to do your best, I ask. Why isn’t today that day?

Sometimes our greatest obstacle is the little voice in our heads telling us tomorrow is a better day to start than today, or we wait and wait on lightning to strike to start our journey.

The odds that lightning will strike are astronomical and that consistent little voice that says, “No, not today,” will never let-up unless you silence it.

Get started today with a phone call or reach out to someone who is taking the plunge to work on something you consider amazing.

Once you give yourself permission to start, and build trust with yourself by creating your best work everyday.

Your Wednesdays will be wonderful and you’ll welcome the humps as you conquer them again and again.

Glossy

The drive to be as glossy as all of the other flashy artists and entrepreneurs puts you on pace to be the same as everyone else.

If flashy is your game then move to that edge and follow the path of certainty.

If remarkable and awesome is your goal. Dig-in, make a difference, and change the game.

The fastest, easiest route doesn’t always build lasting change.

Take the journey and move consistently from success to success.
